ANIMO Mirjam Plank_IT/DE & Lea Markgraf_DE performance Uraufführung - work in progress Animo beschäftigt sich mit dem alltäglichen Umgang der Menschen miteinander. Indem sie sich an verschiedenen Aspekten der Zivilcourage inspirieren, wollen die Choreografinnen vermitteln, wie wichtig Zusammenhalt in einer Welt ist, in der immer mehr aneinander vorbei gelebt wird. Mirjam Plank was born and grew up near Brunico, took a diploma at the Iwanson International School of Contemporary Dance in Munich in 2022 and since then has worked freelance as a dancer, dance teacher and choreographer. During and following her studies she danced for internationally renowned choreographers in numerous German, Austrian and Belgian theatres, performed in TV shows and choreographed works for youth dance theatre. Lea Markgraf was born in 2001 and grew up in Munich, completing her training at the Iwanson International School of Contemporary Dance in 2022. Despite her roots in Hip Hop, her studies with renowned choreographers such as German Jauregui and Hannes Langolf helped her extend her focus to contemporary dance. She works freelance as a dancer, dance teacher and choreographer. Die beiden Tänzerinnen kämpfen gegen das Fremdbestimmtsein, gegen die eigene Ohnmacht und gegen das Gefühl, nicht zu genügen. Miriam Taschler is an author dancer, performer and choreographer specializing in contemporary dance. She cofounded the interdisciplinary association KunstKartell, a network for solidarity and exchange among independent artists. In the lux&auma collective Miriam works with Carla Petzolt on sociopolitical themes that become storytelling through body and movement. Miriam performs at the UFER_STUDIOS in Berlin and at the Lurupina Festival in Germany, the NDAR Urban Week in Senegal, at Ideas Block Kompresornie (Lithuania), and at Teatro Prometo and Astra Brixen in Italy. Carla (she/her) is a contemporary dancer, choreographer, and dance teacher based in Berlin. Interdisciplinary works between circus arts, visual arts, theatre and dance are focus of her work. She aims to challenge existing societal norms trough dance, to sensitise people to socio-political issues and to develop profound methods of physical research.
